Health symptoms that a woman should never ignore

So many women do not take their health as seriously as they could because they think that unusual symptoms will be fine or simply because they don’t have much time to dedicate to getting things checked out with work and family commitments.

This is totally understandable, but women really do need to take their health seriously because lots of conditions they suffer from can be more difficult to diagnose than average and because, the sooner health issues are identified, the better the outcome is likely to be.

Bearing all that in mind, here are some women’s health symptoms that you should absolutley not ignore, not even for a day. If you notice any of them are affecting you, make an appointment with your physician immediately.

Bloating

Many women think that being bloated is the natural consequence of eating and drinking too much or having a period, and that can be absolutely true. However, bloating can be a symptom of something much more serious too.

If you are bloated even when you have not had a big meal or even when you are not on your period, for example, and if that bloating is persistent, you will need to get it checked out because it could indicate a tumor or ovarian cancer.

This is especially important if you are also experiencing other symptoms such as incontinence, back pain, bleeding, and changes to your appetite.

Ovarian cancer can be really tricky to treat, so do not delay in having yourself checked out.

Changes to your breasts

If you talk to breast cancer doctors, they will tell you that one of the first signs a woman may have breast cancer is often visual changes to the breast. For example. Breasts may start to pucker or develop lumps. They may even change shape or become out of proportion or develop a lasting rash.

This may or may not be accompanied by pain, and breast pain or tenderness that is not normal for you should also be investigated as soon as possible.

Low mood

None of us are chirpy all the time, but if you have noticed that you feel down quite a lot, then it is worth talking to your physician. Many women experience periods of depression in their lives, and this is particularly common after giving birth which is known as postpartum depression.

Many women think they just have to live with their low moods, but that really is not the case. There are so many excellent medications and therapies available to the average woman now that you really do not have to suffer in silence, and by seeking the treatment you need, you can improve your life and the lives of your family in one fell swoop. So, do not ignore ow mood any longer!

Heavy bleeding

If you have noticed that your menstrual bleeding is heavier than usual, or if you are bleeding in an irregular way that is not normal for you, you absolutely should not simply brush it off.

Yes, it could be that you are just having a particularly heavy period as a one-off, but it could equally be an indicator that you have a health condition like cervical cancer, polyps, endometriosis, or even anemia.

Make an appointment with your gynecologist as soon as you can so you can start ruling out some of the more troubling conditions that could be causing you to bleed more heavily than usual.

Chest pain

Many women ignore chest pains and discomfort for far longer than they should because they wrongly believe that heart attacks are something that only happens to men.

In fact, one in five women’s deaths annually are caused by heart disease, and coronary heart disease is the single largest killer of women globally, which means you really do need to take chest pains and discomfort seriously if you ent to keep yourself safe.

Not only that, but a pain in the chest can also indicate an issue with your lungs, such as lung embolisms, so it really is vital that youse the doctor or call for emergency help if it is serious, as soon as this particular symptom shows up in your life.

Pain in the pelvic region

Pelvic pain is something that one in every six women experience, and although it can be caused by something as relatively simple as a UTI that you can treat with antibiotics, it can also be caused by things like endometriosis, cancer and ectopic miscarriage, which is why you need to have it checked out instead of writing it off as a simply urinary tract infection.

If you have pelvic pain along with other symptoms like unexpected bleeding, constipation, or fatigue, then it is even more vital that you get it checked out by a healthcare professional as soon as possible.

Fatigue

Lots of women feel fatigued lots of the time because they have busy lives trying to make a living while also looking after the kids and taking care of the home, and this is pretty normal. However, if you feel very tired most of the time, even when you’ve had a good night’s sleep and you haven’t been doing anything too strenuous, then you need to see your doctor.

Fatigue is a really common symptom in a number of serious illnesses including cancer, heart disease, vitamin deficiency, and multiple sclerosis, so although you might think being tired is just your lot in life, that is not necessarily so and a good doctor will explore all of the options to see if there is an underlying cause got you.

If you have any of three symptoms, you need to take them seriously and you need to get in touch with your doctor ASAP. There’s no need to panic, but getting them looked at sooner rather than later would be a really smart move.

So many women are so focused on others that they neglect themselves,s but it should not be that way. You deserve to be as well as the next person, so see your doctor today!
