Family Meals Made Simpler By Ragu

Check out their new Pizza recipe with Creamy Mozarella Sauce. This is my daughter’s current favorite. I spike it up with a few veggies for ourselves, and she enjoys it the Margherita style! Thank You Ragú, for bringing a smile to her face at dinner time!

When both the parents are working, its hard to find quality time when the whole family comes together, spends time together, and talks about their day. At most homes, Dinner time is generally the chance to re-connect at the end of a long day. But when you have 2 kids and high-demand jobs, its hard to get into a rush and just work through motions of eating dinner, or mostly feeding the kids while you gobble your own food on the side, throwing the dishes into the dishwasher and rushing upstairs to give them a bath before its time for bed! However, I am proud to say that though we do succumb to this frenzy sometimes, most of the times Dinner is a family-friendly event. The toddler is tucked into his high-chair, and we all sit together at the table. Amongst the whining and “I don’t like this dish Mamma“, we do find time to catch up with each other. How was the little one’s day with the Nanny? what knew skill did he acquire? What did the elder one learn at Music today, and how exciting it is for her to enlighten us about the fact that a Frog has a tail when it’s born, and how it loses it slowly before turning into an adult frog! She asks Mom and Dad what we did at work today, and if we are going to go to Lake Tahoe or Yosemite anytime soon or not:)

That one hour spent together every night is important in keeping us close and united. I get time to feed my daughter myself, and she feels special that Mommy doesn’t spend time only with the baby all the time. We are not allowed to have smartphones, iPads or any other devices on the dining table while eating. The No Gadgets Allowed rule helps in re-connecting with each other, without checking your emails or WhatsApp messages every minute.

As a working Mom to a kindergartener and an almost 1-year old baby, I am always struggling to prepare fresh meals for my family, and while I don’t always have time to make an elaborate meal, I do make it a point to use as fresh ingredients as possible versus frozen ones, even when they are ready-made, so that I can feel good about feeding it to my family. And that’s where Ragu comes to my rescue! Ragú is one of our mealtime staples and I always have a couple varieties of sauces in my refrigerator. From pasta to enchiladas, homemade Pizza to a baked casserole, there are countless ways to incorporate Ragú into our meals. It just makes it easier for me to spend less time cooking and more with my family, without compromising on quality. With its latest Tra-Dish flavors, making delicious Pasta is a cinch. Not only that, they have some really inspiring recipes on their website which comes in handy when you yourself are brain-dead and can’t come up with a recipe of your own:)
