Mint Mojito

A sort of a Cuban cousin to the traditional American mint julep, the Mojito has long been considered a classic cocktail – Pure, light, and flavored with fresh lime, Prosecco, white rum and mint, this is one of the most favored Mojito recipes throughout out the world. A touch of brown sugar adds to the zing! It is extremely simple to make, so try this Mint Mojito at your next cocktail party – after all, there’s a reason its James Bond’s favorite cocktail!

Prosecco is a variety of white grape grown in the Veneto region of Italy, and also gives its name to the sparkling wine made from this grape. Using a good quality light rum will yield the best results!

Ingredients
2 oz of white light rum
2 oz Prosecco
1/2 oz fresh lime juice
1 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp simple syrup
1 sprig of fresh mint

Directions
In a high ball glass place mint leaves, brown sugar, simple syrup and fresh lime juice and muddle.

Add ice cubes, pour light rum and top with Italian sparkling wine. Stir directly in the glass. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and fresh lime wheel.
