1 tbsp garlic, finely chopped
2-3 green chillies, finely chopped
1 tbsp tomato puree
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp corn starch mixed with 3 tbsp water
salt, to taste
2 tbsp green onion, chopped
1 small bell pepper (green or yellow), chopped
2 tbsp cooking oil
Method
Fry the paneer pieces till brown on all sides, drain them on a piece of paper, then place them in a bowl of warm water.
In a non-stick pan, heat oil and saute chopped green chillies, ginger and garlic for a few mins. Add chopped onions and bell-peppers and fry till lightly browned. Add paneer pieces, salt, tomato sauce, and soya sauce and cook for 2 more minutes.
Add corn starch mixture and stir till sauce thickens, adding more water if necessary. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes to allow paneer to soak in all the flavors, and garnish with chopped green onions.
Garnishing Tip: To make the spring onion flower, take a 2 inch stalk with a little bit of green and the white bulb; Slit it vertically, making 4 cuts. Pull down the slits, then place the onion in a bowl of cold water till you see curls appear. Use as a garnish on the hot and spicy Paneer Chilli!

Hi Manasi
I am a big fan of your blog. Tried the chilli paneer at my party yesterday..it was a huge hit.
Agree with shaheen about the soy sauce. I added couple more green chillies too to suit the Indian palate. Thanks for sharing and keep blogging !
